REMBRANDT® Whitening Toothpastes

Q: What is the difference between your toothpastes?

REMBRANDT® INTENSE STAIN® and DEEPLY WHITE® Toothpastes are designed to whiten teeth and restore enamel. REMBRANDT® INTENSE STAIN® Whitening Toothpaste with Fluoride removes stains and restores and strengthens enamel. INTENSE STAIN® Toothpaste polishes away tough tooth stains with a unique blend of micro-polishers and stain fighters. REMBRANDT® DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpaste is formulated for superior whitening. Unlike most whitening toothpastes, which only work on the surface of the tooth, this formula contains Dental Peroxide, to whiten deeper by providing whitening action on and below the surface of the tooth. REMBRANDT® DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpaste also contains fluoride to restore and strengthen enamel.

Q: Will any of the REMBRANDT® toothpastes whiten bonded teeth, porcelain caps or laminates?

REMBRANDT® toothpaste won’t change the color of bonded teeth, laminates, and porcelain caps. Even so, the use of low abrasion toothpaste like REMBRANDT® may benefit people with laminates, porcelain caps or other restorations because it will minimize the risk of deteriorating the surface of the restoration.

Q: When will I see a noticeable change in the color of my teeth after using REMBRANDT® Toothpastes?

Some people see immediate whitening. If teeth have a noticeable amount of stains, then it may take longer to see a change in color. It can sometimes be difficult to see the whitening effect when all of the teeth are slowly changing at the same time. If you already have very white teeth or have had professional whitening, these pastes are excellent at maintaining the level of whiteness.

Q: What kind of peroxide is used in your DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpastes? Does it wear away my tooth enamel?

The hydrogen peroxide in the REMBRANDT® DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpaste is the same whitening agent used by dentists and gently reacts chemically to remove discoloration from teeth. It not only removes discoloration on the surface of teeth, but it also penetrates into tooth enamel to actually whiten the underlying tooth structure itself. Peroxide does not abrade or wear away tooth enamel. It only reacts with discoloration in or on tooth enamel.

Q: Why does the DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpaste tube not appear to be full?

The 2.6 oz. version of REMBRANDT’s DEEPLY WHITE® toothpaste formula contains Dental Peroxide which releases oxygen for superior whitening. As a result, the tube is a bit larger to allow for inflation due to this oxygen release. However, each tube contains the 2.6 oz (74g) of toothpaste as indicated on the carton and tube. In the new 3.5 oz version of Deeply White, we’ve updated the formula so this is not an issue and the 3.5 oz tube is full.

Q: Why do the DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpastes look puffy?

Over time, peroxides spontaneously produce small amounts of oxygen. The tubes for toothpaste that contain peroxide sometimes look puffy because of the pressure from the oxygen that has been produced. The oxygen occurs naturally, and it is simply the result of the active peroxide in the toothpaste.

Q: Should the DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Toothpaste have a silver safety seal on the tube?

The DEEPLY WHITE® Toothpaste does not contain a safety seal on the tube to allow the tube to expand due to the release of oxygen. The INTENSE STAIN® toothpaste does have a safety seal on the tube. Cartons are glued on both ends for tamper proof evidence.

REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips & Kits

Q: How do I keep my teeth whiter?

To maintain your white teeth, use REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips and Kits as directed every 3 months or as needed. To keep a healthy-looking, white smile, brush regularly with REMBRANDT® DEEPLY WHITE® + Peroxide Fresh Mint Toothpaste

Q: Where should I store this product?

Store in a cool, dry place.

Q: Can I use REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips or Kits if I have gum disease?

If you have gum disease, or receding gums, you should consult a dentist before using this product.

Q: Can I use REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips or Kits if I have dental work?

If you have dental work, consult your dentist before using. REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips or Kits will only whiten natural teeth. It will NOT whiten caps, crowns, veneers, fillings, bridges or dentures. Do not use while wearing overnight dental appliances.

Q: How long will the whitening results last?

Teeth eventually lose their whiteness after treatment due to pigmentations from food or drink. The actual amount of time varies by person and diet. Brush with REMBRANDT® whitening toothpaste twice a day, as your everyday toothpaste to maintain your smile.

Q: After whitening, my gums or teeth have white spots. Are these harmful?

No, the spots are not harmful. The whitening agent in the REMBRANDT® Whitening Strips and Kits sometimes results in white spots that are short term and typically vanish within a few hours of whitening. Avoid brushing these gum areas with your toothbrush until they disappear as this may irritate your gum tissue.

Q: What if my teeth and gums are experiencing sensitivity?

Use of whitening products can cause tooth sensitivity or irritation of the gums. Sensitivity with teeth whitening is temporary and usually goes away within a few hours to a few days; then you can begin whitening again. If the problem persists, consult your dentist.
